Baby Gift Ideas That Worked For My Little Ones:

Here, I've featured my own baby gift ideas for toys. These ideas come from personal experience and A++ for keeping my childrens attention and giving me a minute to do something other than cooo and kiss all over them. These ideas are unisex - good for baby boys and baby girls.

My Baby Gift Ideas Recommendations:

(1) Deluxe Gym - You don't know how much my little ones enjoyed these gym sets. They seemed to never get enough. Even after they were older (walking, talking, getting on my nerves), they still played with the mat. I've had every type of baby play item I can imagine and if I say I used and loved it, nine times out of ten, the mom/dad who receives this will love you for it!

(2) Baby Swing - There are mixed views about baby swings, but as for me and my house - I wouldn't have another baby without one. I had the travel swing (the one to you're right - It was like my American Express - I never left home without it) and my stay home swing. I also heard great things about the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Swing. Put the babies to sleep everytime - love them.

(3) Baby Rocker - Another wonderful contribution to moms and dads everywhere - Baby Rockers. I'm talking the mom (also called a glider) and baby rocker. My kids still sit in this even though they are way too big for it. I think they just like it. I would sit my babies in this while I was cooking, taking a shower/bath, whatever. I'd just pick it up and moved it all around. It also vibrated though my kids preferred no vibration.

(2) Baby Bouncers - Another invaluable item for parents to drag around the house so the baby can see him/her. This also has the vibrating option and the babies loves to kick, grab, and slob on the little attached soft toys.

(4)EvenFlo Exersaucer - I remember when we first purchased this for my oldest daughter. She played for two hours straight. Enough Said!

(5) Baby Einstein Animal Exploration Tunnel - This is another grand ol' must have item in baby land. I would lay my babies on their backs in the tunnel before they could crawl and let them kick and coo. Once they crawled (although my girls walked first then crawled - go figure), they had a ball going through the tunnel. I eventually added a few other tubes to the tunnel and made a little obstacle course.

(6) Baby Walker - I've had one of these from a few manufactures, from expensive to inexpensive. I wouldn't have a baby without having one of these in the house either. All I can say is both of my girls were in walkers at 4 months (sorry to all you by the book parents who may feel that 4 months is too young, but I used my own intuition on this one) and they were both walking a few months before they're first birthday. Now to some walking early is good - for me it meant they could get into more stuff quicker and they haven't stopped since!! Use at your own discretion.

Baby Gift Ideas - Soft Toys and Games

Better safe than sorry when it comes to buying and receiving baby toys. I prefer soft and squeezie, but there are toys that I love equally that are hard and plastic. I mostly prefer toys that are educational and fun - they keep the babies attention even if it's just for a short time. Always stimulate babies in some way possible. You'll be glad you did in the end.
